Legacy Program

Leaving a Legacy, a Gift of a Lifetime

Your legacy and gifts enable the ongoing care and support for children and adults impacted by cancer and their families. Your gift of a lifetime will help future generations as they cope with the stresses and life upheavals of a cancer diagnosis.

Why Make a Legacy Gift?

hands holding a sign "Make a Difference"Making a legacy gift allows you the opportunity to extend your philanthropy beyond a lifetime. A legacy gift is often considered the ultimate gift you can give, a timeless opportunity to serve your community in a way you would like. You may tailor it to your own interests and unique giving situation. Every dollar helps and your gift is vital to supporting the programs and services of Hearth Place.

What to Give?

Giving to Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre can be done either directly or through a planned gift that can provide tax benefits and, in some cases, income. These options may include:

  • Gifts of Life Insurance
  • Securities
  • Stocks and Bonds
  • RRSP & RRIF Funds
  • Property, Trusts and Annuities
  • A set financial donation

It is recommended that you consult your lawyer or financial advisor.

Next Steps:

If you have made a gift – THANK YOU!

If you are considering planned giving, kindly complete the form on our Contact Us Page  and choose “Planned Giving” in the drop down “Why are you contacting us?” field. One of our staff will be in touch with you soon.

Cancer touches all of us, our families and our friends. Hearth Place provides the compassionate support that would otherwise be lacking in our community health care system. Until the day when all cancer can be beaten, I will be a supporter of Hearth Place.

When I discovered that my cancer had returned after 7 years of remission, and become metastatic, I was searching for a support system that I could be a part of with others going through the same thing. I knew about Hearth Place and decided to look at the various workshops they provided for people like me and, sure enough, I saw a Metastatic Group that gathered once a week and also held fundraisers that most of us took part in. The support and love that I get from my peers is amazing and the kindness and welcoming from the staff is awesome. I return the support as much as I can back to Hearth Place…a loving and supporting (feels like home atmosphere) who needs ours and other’s support financially for Hearth Place to keep up their fantastic work for those who need it.
