Introduction to Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy is a growing field in the treatment of cancer. It works differently on the body from chemotherapy while aiming for the same goal - destroying cancer cells. This online seminar will help us to understand immunotherapy, how it differs from chemotherapy, and what to expect if you have been offered this treatment.

This session is offered by Stephanie Burlein-Hall. Stephanie is a registered nurse with over 35 years of oncology nursing and education experience. Most recently Stephanie worked in the symptom management program at the Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre. In addition to being a Hearth Place volunteer, Stephanie is also a cancer survivor.
