The sounds of the music of the island, vintage cars, bright colours, and warm tropical breezes are all things that come to mind when we think of Cuba. This year’s Hearth Place gala will have us dancing under a hot Havana night, complete with good food, fun, prizes and great entertainment!

The Havana Nights Gala will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Ajax Convention Centre. Doors open at 6:00 pm with cocktail hour. A guest favourite, the Saturday Night Superstars will be with us again this year keeping us dancing the night away!

Proceeds of the evening support the programs and services that are offered free-of-charge at Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre. Hearth Place is Durham Region’s only cancer support centre. It receives no government funding and, therefore, relies on generous support of individuals and corporations as well as fundraising events such as the Havana Nights Gala. Come enjoy a wonderful evening and, at the same time, support those in your community living with a diagnosis of cancer.

Murrow International Award for storytelling and was instrumental on changing Ontario’s liquor laws through his investigative series on date rape.
