Classes include Balance and Restore, Hospital Hunch and Hips, Mellow Movement, Whole Body Soothing Flow, and more. The movements are gentle, and no previous experience is required. Yoga mats, blocks and other equipment are provided.

Caregivers will develop a wealth of self-care tools to reduce personal stress, change negative self-talk, communicate their needs to family members and healthcare providers, deal with difficult feelings and make tough caregiver decisions.

Hearth Place is happy to be offering a Walk Club Series on an indoor track in the community, for a 7-week series beginning on Wednesday, July 8th, from 10 - 11:00am.
Walking has long been known to be a beneficial activity for both physical and emotional health. The social aspect of joining others for a walk is also important, to say nothing of the positive effects on our bodies.
We are delighted to be able to bring this to our members throughout the hottest months of the summer, so that you can walk in a comfortable environment.
Walk Club is not a drop-in group; advance registration is required and a waiver must be signed.

This program provides patients with metastatic cancer the opportunity to meet with other metastatic cancer patients. In a supportive and non-threatening setting, sessions focus on discussion and sharing of feelings and concerns regarding unique issues that can be triggered by this diagnosis. Through participation in this program patients may find comfort and reassurance and improve their ability to cope with the roller-coaster of emotions and re-entry into the medical system.
This group meets weekly on Wednesdays, from 12:30-2:30pm.

Join us for our weekly walk in the community, beginning at Hearth Place with time to do a short warm-up, and ending here for a cool-down. All routines taught in Do It With Ease are designed for those who have had cancer surgery, node dissection, radiation, chemotherapy, or who deal with cancer-related chronic fatigue. Designed and led by a physiotherapist.
Note that an Exercise Consent Form, signed by a doctor or nurse practitioner, must be provided prior to the start of the series for all participants.
