R.S. McLaughlin C.V.I. PUP Day Raises Over $7,500
R.S. McLaughlin C.V.I. held their annual PUP Day fundraiser on May 24th. Student teams raised pledges previous to the day and spent the afternoon in fun game competitions to celebrate. Thank you to the student council, teachers, and all students for raising $7,530.19 this year!!
COBS Breads Doughnation Day Raises $4,515
COBS Bread Folkstone (Whitby) chose Hearth Place as their charity of choice for their annual Doughnation Day on April 1st. For every 6-pack sold throughout the day, $2 was donated to Hearth Place. In addition, donations were collected in store from March 1st to April 1st. In the end, a total of $4,515 was donated to support the programs and services at Hearth Place! Thank you!
Krista’s FUN-draising for Hearth Place Raises over $2,300
Thank you to Krista for raising funds through her Facebook page: Krista’s FUN-draising for Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre. Through her fundraisers February-May she raised $1,095 and through her June fundraiser she raised $1,235!

Dance For Hearth Place Raises Over $2,100
The Dance for Hearth Place fundraiser was held on April 15th in the parking lot of Good Shepherd school in Courtice. Participants had a fun morning of fitness dancing and also had a chance to win prizes donated by the local community. Organizer Vanessa put this fundraiser together as a way to give back to Hearth Place. The event raised $2,167 to help Hearth Place continue providing support to those dealing with a diagnosis of cancer! Thank you!
Elsie’s 8th Birthday Raises Over $1,100
For the third year in a row Elsie chose to ask family and friends for donations to Hearth Place for her birthday. This year was her biggest year yet at $1,120.75! Thank you Elsie for using your birthday to support others. Happy Birthday!
Candygram Fundraiser Raises $788
Hearth Place would like to thank Hailey for donating $788.19 which she raised by selling candy grams in her elementary school. Thank you Hailey!
Creighton Law Blue Jean Fridays
The employees of Creighton Law in Oshawa donated a total of $533 raised through their Blue Jean Fridays. Thank you to Creighton Law and the employees that participated!
Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament
The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce held their annual golf tournament on May 29th and chose Hearth Place as their charity of choice for the day. In total $405 in donations were raised. Thank you!
Masters Golf Tournament
Thank you to Jacqueline MacDonald for donating 25% of the proceeds from her Masters Golf Tournament. In addition, Kenton Diamond donated his winnings from the day making the total donation $365! Thank you!
Lotus Loft Karma Yoga Classes
Lotus Loft in Port Perry collected donations during the month of April in their Sunday Karma yoga class and donated $140 to Hearth Place. Thank you!
