Program Highlights

Walk Club Series
Begins Wednesday, July 8th, from 10:00-11:00am – in person
Hearth Place is happy to be offering a Walk Club Series on an indoor track in the community, for a 7-week series beginning on Wednesday, July 8th, from 10 – 11:00am.
Walking has long been known to be a beneficial activity for both physical and emotional health. The social aspect of joining others for a walk is also important, to say nothing of the positive effects on our bodies.
We are delighted to be able to bring this to our members throughout the hottest months of the summer, so that you can walk in a comfortable environment.
Walk Club is not a drop-in group; advance registration is required and a waiver must be signed.
Please contact Stephanie at st*******@*********ce.org or call 905-579-4833 to register.

Finding Your Inner Voice: An Art Journey

Journaling is only one of the ways to work through the complicated emotions that arise while living with cancer. In this workshop, you will explore different creative mediums to help you navigate and understand your cancer experience. This is not about making art, but about connecting with yourself in a new way. All supplies are provided.

Exploring Our Health Care Values
Tuesday August 11th and 18th, from 1:00-3:00pm – hybrid
A Substitute Decision Maker is someone we appoint to speak for us when we are unable to speak for ourselves. In this 2-part workshop, we will discuss what is meant by health care values, and how we can begin uncovering what is important to us, so we can ensure that if someone is speaking for us, they are using our voice.
